I have recently jumped on the Twitter bandwagon. Well, that’s a lie. I jumped on about 6 months ago with a personal account to stalk all of my favorite celebs (insert “loser” here) but I did just starting Tweeting for Jolie Fête!
I have connected with more budding business as well as some of the top names in the industry and what a difference it has made. From wedding leads, to contacts with wonderful people, Twitter has become a huge tool in my small business toolbox. This outlet is perfect for those of us out there that need to carefully watch where to allocate our advertising dollars. Considering the fact that nearly HALF off small businesses survive on word-of-mouth, Twitter is the perfect outlet for word-of-mouth of the VIRTUAL variety.
Social networking is a powerhouse now more than ever, especially for small businesses doing their best to stay afloat in this rough economy. If there is one piece of advice I can give those of you out there wanting to tap your respective markets, I would suggest looking in to how you can make social networking and microblogging work for you!
